Our Author’s Corner is a recommended-reading list curated for us by scholars, and tied to the lecture and book-signing series of the same name which we initiated in 1997.  It includes works by Black authors, as well as books on topics related to history, preservation, archaeology, African heritage, and African-American experience.


In celebration ofof the 2021 National Book Festival, RBHY Museum recommends the following books from noted authors and scholars, and advisors to our organization.

Dr. Thomas F. King has been an advisor to RBHY Museum, in the endangered Freedmen’s Town Community, and to its scholars for many years.
